As Functions Centre Manager at Victoria Park Golf Complex and Conference Centre, I need to know that the areas I manage are scrupulously hygienic. That’s why I have Ethical Pest Management come every quarter to keep pests under control in our kitchens, and once a year for the function rooms. There was a problem with German cockroaches here when I first took over this role, but EPM quickly eradicated it. The last thing you want with food around is “hard” chemicals. I like the fact that if EPM need to use pesticides, they choose natural Pyrethrins products to control pests. I also like the way they are so professional. They will always give us a few days’ notice, then they call us when they get here on the day. They explain where they will be working and exactly what they will be doing. They ask us if there are any areas that need special attention, then get right down to work. I have no hesitation in recommending EPM pest control.
EPM Pest Control already had a three-monthly arrangement in place when I purchased the property management rights to the modern ‘Mon Reve’ apartment complex in Kangaroo Point. With 43 apartments there are many common areas to keep free of pests: 3 lifts, 3 levels of basements, pools, garbage room, barbecue areas, gardens and yards. I have found the EPM technicians to be prompt, efficient, cheerful and courteous. Their back-up service is first-rate. If it rains soon after they have treated our areas, washing the pesticide away, they will come straight back when it’s fine again and re-do the work. While most of the tenants aren’t aware of what they use, I certainly am, and the fact they use pyrethrin-based pesticides rather than more toxic chemicals gives me peace of mind.
